Elsewhere on Friday night, Santos Escobar defeated Rey Mysterio to become the number-one contender for Austin Theory’s US Championship.

The segment ended with Jey putting his hand near Reigns' neck reminding him how he pinned the Tribal Chief and will do so again at SummerSlam.
Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio came face to face in the invitational United States Championship final to challenge Austin Theory at SummerSlam.
The two LWO teammates barely warmed up when Mysterio suffered an injury and the match ended through the referee's stoppage. Escobar will challenge Theory however it remains to be seen whether the US title will exchange hands or not.
